A screw conveyor is a machine that uses a motor to drive a screw to rotate and push materials to achieve the purpose of conveying. It can be conveyed horizontally, obliquely or vertically, and has the advantages of simple structure, small cross-sectional area, good sealing, convenient operation, easy maintenance, and convenient closed transportation. In terms of conveying form, screw conveyors are divided into two types: shafted screw conveyors and shaftless screw conveyors, and are divided into U-shaped screw conveyors and tubular screw conveyors in appearance. The shaft screw conveyor is suitable for non-viscous dry powder materials and small granular materials. (For example: cement, fly ash, lime, grain, etc.) and the shaftless screw conveyor is suitable for conveying viscous and easily entangled materials. (For example: sludge, biomass, garbage, etc.)

The working principle of the screw conveyor is that the rotating screw blade pushes the material for screw conveyor transportation, so that the material does not rotate with the screw conveyor blade The force is the weight of the material and the The frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material. The spiral blade welded on the rotating shaft of the screw conveyor, the surface type of the blade has solid surface type, belt type surface type, blade surface type and other types according to the different conveying materials. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor has a thrust bearing at the end of the material moving direction to give the screw axial reaction force with the material. When the length of the machine is long, an intermediate hanging bearing should be added. When the screw shaft rotates, the material can only move forward along the groove bottom of the conveyor under the push of the blade due to the gravity of the material and the frictional force between it and the wall of the groove body. It is the same as the translational motion of the rotating screw. The main forward power of the material comes from the force that the helical blade rotates in the axial direction to move the material upward and forward along the tangential direction of the blade. In order to make the screw shaft in a more favorable tension state, the drive device and the discharge port are generally placed at the same end of the conveyor, and the feed port is placed as close as possible to the tail of the other end. The rotating screw blade pushes the material for conveying, and the force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw conveyor blade is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material. According to the different conveying materials, there are solid surface, belt surface, blade surface and other types of blade surface type. The horizontal screw conveyor can be loaded and unloaded at any point on its conveying line; the configuration of the vertical screw conveyor can have excellent reclaiming performance relative to the screw reclaiming device. 6) It can be conveyed in the reverse direction, or one conveyor can convey materials in two directions at the same time, that is, to the center or away from the center. 7) The unit energy consumption is large. 8) The material is easy to be crushed and worn during the conveying process, and the wear of the spiral blade and the trough is also serious.

Structure:

(1) The helical blades of the screw conveyor have three types: solid helical type, belt helical type and blade helical type. The solid helical surface is called the s method, and the helical pitch of the GX type is 0.8 times the diameter of the blade. The LS type screw conveyor is suitable for conveying powdery and granular materials. The belt helical surface is also known as the D method. The blade type helical surface is rarely used, and is mainly used to convey materials with high viscosity and compressibility. During the conveying process, processes such as stirring and mixing are completed at the same time, and the spiral pitch is about 1.2 times the diameter of the spiral blade. (2) The screw blades of the screw conveyor have two rotation directions: left-handed and right-handed. (3) The types of screw conveyors include horizontal fixed screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. Horizontal fixed screw conveyor is the most commonly used type. The vertical screw conveyor is used to lift materials in a short distance. The conveying height is generally not more than 8m. The screw blade is a solid surface type. It must have a horizontal screw feeding to ensure the necessary feeding pressure. (4) The material outlet end of LS and GX screw conveyors should be provided with 1/2~1 turn of the reverse screw to prevent the powder from clogging the end. (5) The screw conveyor consists of three parts: the screw body, the inlet and outlet and the drive device. The screw machine body consists of a head bearing, a tail bearing, a suspension bearing, a screw, a casing, a cover plate and a base. The drive device consists of a motor, a reducer, a coupling and a base.

Application: Screw conveyors are widely used in various sectors of the national economy such as grain industry, building material industry, chemical industry, machinery manufacturing, transportation and so on. The screw conveyor is mainly used for conveying various powdery, granular and small block materials. , chemical fertilizers and other chemicals, as well as coal, coke, ore and other bulk cargo. The screw conveyor is not suitable for conveying materials that are perishable, viscous, bulky and easy to agglomerate. In addition to conveying bulk materials, screw conveyors can also be used to convey various pieces of goods. The screw conveyor can complete mixing, stirring, cooling and other operations while conveying materials. In ports, screw conveyors are mainly used for unloading trucks, unloading ships and horizontal and vertical transportation of bulk materials in warehouses. The screw unloader, which uses the horizontal screw shaft in direct contact with the material to unload the material layer by layer from both sides of the carriage, has been successfully used in domestic ports for many years. The screw ship unloader consisting of a horizontal screw conveyor, a vertical screw conveyor and a relative screw reclaimer has become a relatively advanced continuous ship unloading model, and is increasingly widely used in domestic and foreign bulk cargo terminals.
